A Level 2 home charger charges your vehicle overnight so it is full every morning. No detours, no waiting, no peak rate pricing. Charging at home during off peak hours costs significantly less than public charging and you set the schedule.
Collins Electric installs dedicated 240V circuits for Level 2 chargers and confirms your panel has the capacity to support it before anything goes in the wall.
PG&E customers may qualify for up to $2,000 back on EV charger installation. If a panel upgrade is needed, that amount goes up to $5,000.
To get started, submit an application through PG&E's Residential EV Charging Rebate Program and select Collins Electric as your Trade Ally contractor. From there, I handle the site assessment, permitting, installation, and rebate paperwork.
